SOL Nation's Mobile Market Bus
Access to fresh, healthy, culturally relevant food shouldn’t depend on your zip code or how far you have to travel.
SOL Nation is working to build a sovereign, Black-owned food system along the Beatties Ford Road corridor and throughout Charlotte’s Historic West End—one rooted in community ownership, local connections, and greater access to healthy food.
The Mobile Market Bus is the first step.
The bus will bring fresh, locally sourced food directly into our neighborhoods, connecting residents with local farms, growers, community gardens, and trusted food partners. It will also provide food education and cooking demonstrations to help residents make the most of fresh ingredients.
But this is about more than a mobile market.
It’s about building a stronger, more resilient local food ecosystem where Historic West End residents have greater control over the food they grow, access, prepare, share, and sustain.
